Coming out in June next year - The Rough Guide to Nirvana - a new book by Gillian G. Gaar. The book tells the story of the life and afterlife of NIRVANA:The Story: From Krist Novoselic's early influences, to the last days of Kurt Cobain and the rise of Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters.
The Music: Every album, single, EP and compilation, plus the stray tracks, rarities and solo projects.
The Era: The birth of grunge, the story of Sub Pop, the John Peel radio sessions and Nirvana's contemporaries, from The Melvins to Sonic Youth.
The Background: Nirvana books, movies, cover songs and websites, plus a guided tour of locations key to the Nirvana story.
The book features a foreword by Jack Endino.
Journalist and author Gillian G. Gaar has previously published Nirvana: In Utero and she was a historian and consultant for the box set, With The Lights Out.
