![]() "Nirvana's best-loved songs turn the volume way down, while turning up the dreaminess of their pop hooks. In many ways, this album echoes the simple pleasures and innocence of infancy and childhood. Childish tra-la-la’s tempered the distortion of Nirvana's own songs. Chimes, glockenspiels and other gentle instruments temper Nirvana's wild spirit for your little one. Smells Like Teen Spirit? Smells like nap time." You can find more info, and even sound clips, at this location.

![]() Speaking exclusively to NME, Love also acknowledged that most of the songs are about Cobain's girlfriend before he got together with Love, Tobi Valli, but she says there's one that he wrote about her towards the end of the sessions. She said: 'There's only really one about me because it was written late in the day. Most of the songs are about another girl, which is annoying. But I'm not gonna name (which one's about me) because I feel like it's just my secret. A lot of the songs on there aren't even about girl stuff.' " Story courtesy of NME. NME this week features a Nirvana-cover story, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Nevermind album. Some more info: "In this week's 15th anniversary 'Nevermind' special, we take a track-by-track look at the album as well as speaking to all the major players, such as producer Butch Vig and drummer Dave Grohl. NME's sister magazine Uncut also features Nirvana in its grunge special in this month's issue." More details here.

![]() The video has been cleaned up and will look much better than the VHS, and even the laserdisc release. The audio has been remastered. In addition, there will be some bonus material, but it is not known at this point whether it will include previously unreleased footage. A very likely release date for the DVD is November 13 in Europe and November 14 in the US. This will mark the first ever DVD-release by Nirvana's record label, aside from the DVD that was included with 2004's With The Lights Out box set. Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! was originally conceived by Kurt Cobain in 1993 but it was delayed due to other commitments with touring, etc. By the time Kurt died in 1994, it had not yet been completed, but Krist and Dave continued the project and tried to maintain's Kurt's original vision. In the "Journals" book, you can find a page with Kurt's notes for the video's concept. The video contains concert footage, interviews and various backstage clips. The VHS and laserdisc version was originally released in November 1994. Note that an unofficial DVD from 2003 with inferior quality, produced in Brazil, is also circulating.
