![]() Dave Grohl's band were playing their second set of the day after surprising fans by playing a surprise acoustic set earlier in the afternoon. Following the nod to the future, Grohl paid tribute to his past ahead of 'Learn To Fly', Dave Grohl saying: 'This goes out to Snow Patrol, Pink and the band I used to drum for...' Leaving fans hanging on that he was talking about Nirvana he then chimed in with 'Juilette and The Licks! Man, I really blew that gig!' " The band also played some tracks from their forthcoming album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace which is set to be released on September 25. |

![]() "While the movie directly references Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns (including extreme close-ups of Clive Owen's steely eyes, a hero with no name and not much a past, and several showdowns), it's also as much a throwback to 80s and early 90s action flicks. You know, the kind: action sets stuffed with one-liners and nary a complicated plot to muck things up. The first action sequence starts about two minutes into the movie and it pretty much never lets up from there." Read more about it here. |

![]() According to reports, the classic rock album will be made available after the game launches at the end of the year. Rock Band is like Guitar Hero on steroids, with axe wielding joined by vocals and drumming and letting players form full bands. It's due out on PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 20. More info here. Meanwhile, mobile game publisher Gameloft is releasing Guitar Legend, which can be loosely described as being a Guitar Hero for mobile phones, with well-timed button-presses replacing plug-in axe accessories. Nirvana's 'Heart-Shaped Box' is one of the tracks included, along with Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water' and Iron Maiden's 'Run To The Hills'. More info here. |
