Q Magazine: Dave Grohl named artist of the century
In the latest issue of Q Magazine, an "Artists of the Century" special features Dave Grohl on the cover, as one of the 34 biggest stars in music. All of the artists are either interviewed inside or have their famous friends writing essays on them.
Q Editor-in-Chief, Paul Rees quotes "We started talking about it a year ago, thinking about what we could do," he says. "We had done 20 covers for the magazine's anniversary issue, we thought everyone else was going to do the 100 best records. We wanted to do the artists of the century, in Q's world. We have managed to get a really broad range of people in there and through the albums featured. It's a good summation of popular music, all of the the people there have touched our readers' lives."
