Cobain mention in "Cold Case"

In the latest episode of the show Cold Case (3x12) which aired in the US and Canada on January 15, 2006 there are several mentions of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana. The synopsis of the episode reads as follows:

"When a small piece of a note is found, Rush and the team reopen the 1994 death of a teenager, Trevor, that was previously classified as a suicide. After several interviews with local neighbours and childhood friends, it seems the teenager jumped off the roof of his school to his death. The depressed teen was obsessed with Kurt Cobain's suicide and had called into a crisis hotline for help numerous times, all pointing to a clear suicide. However, Rush pursues a new angle that she won't relinquish."

In this episode, there are numerous references to Kurt Cobain including mentions to his songs, a poster inside Trevor's locker, and the comparison of Raquel as Kurt Cobain's wife Courtney Love. Cobain's suicide in April 1994 also had a big impact on Trevor. During the episode, songs by Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains and Smashing Pumpkins are featured. Needless to say, no Nirvana songs appear. It's rumored that the producers wanted to use "Come As You Are" and "All Apologies". Thanks to Colin and Austin for info.
